SERVICE ACADEMY INFORMATION

Congressman Diane Black’s website is now open for those rising seniors that have a desire to attend a U.S. Service Academy!  Do you have a student who wishes to attend? If so, interested students will need a nomination from their Congressman or U.S. Senator.

United States Air Force Academy                               www.usafa.af.mil

               United States Naval Academy                                    www.usna.edu

United States Coast Guard Academy                        www.uscga.edu

               United States Military Academy                                 www.usma.edu

United States Merchant Marine Academy               www.usma.edu

To begin the nomination process from Congressman Diane Black, they will need to complete the online application at www.black.house.gov, print it and send it to Congressman Black’s Gallatin District office. The address is on the form.

To locate the form on the website students need to highlight the “Serving You Tab” and then click on the “Military Academy Nominations”.  Please advise the students to read the FAQ’s as they provide valuable information regarding the nomination process.  Once our office has received the application the student will be contacted by our staff.  We will review their application with them, request any additional information, explain all deadlines and answer any questions they may have.

Students applying for a nomination from Congressman Black should also apply for a nomination from Senator Alexander and Senator Corker; this will enhance their chances of receiving a nomination. Please remind students that they also need to complete the application for each service academy they are interested in attending.
