Beth Dorris will be serving her ninth year as high school counselor at MHMS. She received her Master’s Plus 30 in December 2011 with an emphasis in Student Development and attended the Sumner County Aspiring Leaders’ Summit in June 2015. She completed her Instructional Leadership License to become a school administrator at Bethel University. She has a combined 15 years of teaching and counseling experience. She is not only a Sumner County Employee, but a Sumner County parent. Her oldest daughter attends SCE.
In addition to her role as school counselor, she currently serves as the Testing Coordinator, National Honor Society Advisor and Walking Team Coach at MHMS. In the past, she has been the MHMS Middle and High School Cheerleading Coach, Executive Committee Team Member, Sunshine Committee Leader, United Way Coordinator, and worked in several capacities to help our middle and high school students. Her passion includes running long distances and has completed 20 half marathons. Her love and devotion to her church, two girls, husband, close friends and pets take up the majority of her free time.
