Merrol Hyde Magnet School

We encourage ALL students to be involved in community service & volunteering.

By being involved in our community you are helping to serve the needs of others.  At the same time, you are building your resume and learning about yourself and your interests.  Through service, you are given the opportunity to develop your soft skills, network with others, explore career fields, show commitment, and make an impact.  Community service is also something that many colleges look at when considering admission.

Document Your Hours

Mrs. Falise has service hour forms in her office.  Keeping records of your service hours will help when developing your resume and for logging hours required for TN Scholars.  Completed service hours forms should be returned to Mrs. Falise to be placed in your career folder.

What is TN Scholars?

Visit TN Scholars to learn more.  One of the requirements to qualify is to submit 80 hours of service (hours must be completed in grades 9-12).  For the class of 2021 the hours have been adjusted to 60 due to COVID.  During your senior year, Mrs. Falise will work with you on submitting documentation.

Each year the MHMS faculty selects two rising Senior males and Senior females to represent our school.
