SY 2007-08 Class Field Trip Information Updates coming soon for

Seniors only:
The kick-off for the MHMS Senior Trip to
the Grand Canyon and Southwest National Parks has been scheduled
for August 20th during the first Senior Class
Meeting. We will offer you an opportunity to hear about this
trip in detail, find out when the trip will take place, see how
you might apply for the teacher sponsored scholarship, as well
as make your preliminary commitment. Parents are welcome to
come and participate in this meeting. Several students that
went on the trip last year will be available to answer your
questions and to tell you about their experiences. A
non-refundable $100.00 deposit, due August 29th, will
hold your place for this trip of a lifetime. See you there!
Eighth Grade Students and Parents:
The parent/student kick-off meeting for the
8th grade trip to Washington, D.C. will be held at
6:00 PM, the night of August 28th in the Merrol Hyde
Magnet School Cafeteria. The trip is scheduled for May 12-16,
2008. The students will be traveling roundtrip by Motorcoach
Transportation via Grayline. Four teacher chaperones will
accompany the students as well as a Thomas Tours
Representative. Come and hear about this trip to Washington,
D.C, how it will enhance your students learning from inside the
classroom and encourage life-long learning outside the
classroom.
Ninth and Tenth Grade Students and
Parents:
The parent/student kick-off meeting for
the 9th and 10th grade trip to New York
City will be held at MHMS in the Cafeteria on August 28th
at 7:00 PM. A Thomas Tours representative and teacher
chaperones will be available to answer questions and pass out
brochures. The New York trip is scheduled for May 10th-13th,
2008. Students will be flying to and from New York with a
Thomas Tours representative/tour guide and four teachers. Take
advantage of this incredible opportunity to extend your learning
outside the classroom and travel with your classmates. A
non-refundable deposit of $100.00 will hold your place and make
sure you have a ticket to see the Broadway musical production of
“Wicked.”
