Silence
By K.M.
Silence, the sound
of raging rivers, gentle
streams, and cries of trees
long since fallen. These are noises
never to be heard
in the city. The gentle
sound of Silence is replaced by
roaring subways, loud cars, and ringing
cell
phones. Why does it matter? Why
should we care? Silence, natures medicine
for an unsettled mind, is a helper,
healer, soother, relief, and haven for
the
thoughtful. It teaches you to look
at a problem from a
different perspective,
or opens your eyes to something
that you couldn't see before. Only
through
Silence can you understand how the world works.
Everything in the
world is confusing. It wasn't always that way, but,
because some technologies have gone
too far, we have complicated things.
Sometimes it is hard to distinguish right from wrong, and
the noise around
you
doesn't help you in the process of
finding the answer. To find
the answer and
distinguish right from wrong, one
of the best things that you can do is go
into
a quiet place and think. Silence is
the best helper when
you're having a
difficult time with a problem.
What can we learn
from Silence? You don't need everything you think you
do. The people around you can be a
great place to go to for
advice, but
Silence holds the true solution to your problem. Nothing is a greater help than
Silence, and nothing gives you a
greater peace of mind. If you just stop
and
listen instead of going all of the
time, you will realize that there is
much
more to life than the latest
fashion or the best sports team. Fashion
and
sports only last for a season, but
Silence is here forever. Never underestimate
Silence and what He con do for you.
