Strings Ensemble
The String Ensemble
at MHMS meets Tuesdays at 7:00 am.
The ensemble is open
to any students in grades 5-12 who play a string instrument
(violin, viola, cello, bass, or piano). The string
Ensemble exists to offer young musicians exposure to interesting
and challenging music specifically written for string orchestra.
The String Ensemble will perform at various times throughout the
year, both at school and (hopefully) at outside locations.
This group has had the distinction of performing at weddings,
receptions, the annual conference of Sumner County Realtors (in
front of an audience of approximately 1,500) and the unveiling
of the Andrew Jackson dollar coin at the Hermitage ( in front of
an audience of approximately 4,000).
