Jazz Band
There are two Jazz Band opportunities at MHMS!
Beginning Jazz Band meets Wednesdays
at 7:00 a.m., and Advanced Jazz Band meets Thursdays 3:00-4:00
p.m.
The group is open to any students in grades
5-12 who play a band instrument, or play piano, guitar (electric) or bass (upright
or electric), or a drum set. The jazz band exists to offer young musicians exposure to interesting and challenging forms of music such as swing, rock, ballads, and modern jazz. The jazz band will perform at various times throughout the year, both at school and (hopefully) at outside locations.
