Honor Society
The National
Honor Society Chapter establishes membership that are based upon
a student's outstanding performance in the areas of scholarship,
leadership, service, and character. The criteria for selection
form the foundation upon which the organization and its
activities are built. In order to be considered for National
Honor Society membership, a student must meet the following
scholastic criteria. The graduating class of 2008 must
have a cumulative grade point average of 4.85 as a Junior, or
4.75 as a Senior. The graduating class of 2009 must have a
cumulative grade point average of 4.30 as a Junior or 4.10 as a
Senior.
The graduating class of 2010 must have a cumulative grade point
average of 3.9 as a Junior or 3.8 as a Senior Once a student meets scholastic requirements, a faculty
evaluation is completed to determine if the candidate meets the
requirements of leadership, service, and character. The Faculty
Council ( a team of five teachers appointed by Mrs. Schreiner)
will review the faculty evaluations to determine which
candidates are invited into membership.
A induction
ceremony will take place in the Fall of each school year. For
additional information, please contact Mrs. Perry.
